Well, I was able get my mom and few cousins engaged in our Tree growth... but there are some older relatives that aren't familiar with any kind of technology, like Internet, or just don't know English... so the most "tough" and precious work till now have been contacting them and gathering as much information as we can, and then entering as many details as possible in our Tree.
Believe me, although it would be much easier if they could update the Tree by themselves, it is quite funny to "interview" them. First, because they have such a great memory for their age, I can no longer tell how many times I got really astonished! And second, because quite frequently I need to ask them to slow down, as I'm just unable to take notes as fast as they talk! lol It seems to me that they get kind of excited with the questions, like if we were finally recognizing how important their memories are... and actually, I think they are absolutely right to feel this way! Since I've started my Family Tree, I found myself thinking several times about, how much I would love to hear many histories that my grandfather used to tell me when he was still alive... now, everything is almost lost in my poor memory...
Do you have anything similar to share?!
Cheers,
Paula
