ATTENTION: I do NOT work for Geni! I just loved their idea and believe that many people might be longing to discuss about it... just like I am :D
The purpose of this site is to discuss things about Geni like... why we love it, how it has changed our lives, etc. We definitively are NOT here to "complain" about Geni! If you want to make any suggestion to improve Geni, you should join http://forum.geni.com and post it there, you'll be very welcome. All Geni Team members are really kind and I'm sure they will be pleased to receive your comments, and you'll get as much help as possible. They are doing just a great job in their Forum!

You're welcome. Please bring these kinds of things to our attention sooner, rather than later -- it was only recently that we noticed comments on some of the popular profiles and felt it was best to hide those guestbooks for now. If we'd known sooner that it was a problem, we could have saved you some trouble.
On the other hand, does it matter if people want to post that Queen Elizabeth is their 13th cousin? Maybe once we have profile discussions we'll be able to consolidate that kind of chatter into a single thread?

Rather than have to host photos in yet another bit bucket, I'd like geni.com to abstract away the photo part of the service, and allow us to link photos from any of these other web services, including facebook.
I'm not trying to be negative here. I LOVE geni for the family trees, and i get that i need to store photos of people in the tree here. But I want to link all the galleries that i've created in other places.
